A WALK IN THE PARK
As I went to the park today,
I saw the flowers in bright array
I heard the little birds’ voices sing
Oh, it truly was a pleasant thing.
The trees were heavy, loaded with fruit
The gardens lush and that’s the truth
Butterflies fluttering here and there
The gardener smiling, he took care.
Ponds so always clear and fresh
Swans so graceful, there to rest
Children playing shrieked with laughter
Lovely couple sat together.
The sight alone was a beautiful thing,
I wonder what tomorrow will bring
And that my friend is the end of the story,
Till tomorrow again, my dear diary.
